Host a screening of our movie, DON’T WRITE ME OFF, to share part big part of our story.  You can set something up with a few friends or you can do it at your church, school, etc.  Please go to “contact us” to set this up.

Tell Your Friends and Family

Let your friends and family know about Malawi and the small steps they can take to improve the lives of Malawians. Please let us know if you need any help at all in doing this.

Spread the Word on FACEBOOK and Twitter

Help raise awareness about Malawian kids on Facebook, Twitter and any other social networks that you are involved in.  You will be surprised at what this simple gesture can do.

Support our dedicated volunteers on the ground—the ones who really understand the challenges Malawians face.  No one gets paid to work for Chisomo Idea so all money given goes towards making a difference in people’s lives.

If you are in Malawi, connect with our Malawi team to offer your services.  If you are outside Malawi, consider taking a trip to Malawi to go and help out.  If you are in college you can also intern with The Chisomo Idea for the summer.

    Hello! My name is Stephanie Hughes and I am a nursing student at Sacremento State University. Throughout the past few years, I’ve had many opportunities to help others. Quickly, this became my passion, and will soon even be my career. Africa is a place that is in need of many basic things everyone I know including myself will never even be able to imagine not having. I want to help. So I am asking for more information on taking a trip to Malawi. I would absolutely LOVE to be a part of that. Thank you and I really look forward to to hearing from you soon.

    Hey Stephanie,

    Here is a quick and more direct question. Are there any other nursing students that can take a vision trip with you to Malawi? Nurses are always needed. We haven’t even entered the world of medicine in the areas that we work in apart from doing some educational stuff. I think there is a lot that could happen there. Obviously the need is pretty rampant.

    Let me know what you think about the question above and then let’s go from there…
