    Noel Musicha


    Noel is the founder and cultural architect behind the Chisomo Idea movement. He was born and raised in Malawi, Africa and graduated from San Diego Christian College with a BA in Communication and Biblical studies. He is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, at National University in California. Noel, a proud former goat-header, has also played professional soccer with different clubs–currently with the new San Diego club, The San Diego Flash. Noel and his wife Melissa live in San Diego and proudly serve in youth ministry at Flood Church. He continues to serve as the volunteer CEO and President of The Chisomo Idea.

    Melissa was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Growing up playing soccer she earned a scholarship to play for San Diego Christian College as a scholar athlete. Melissa graduated from SDCC with a B.A. in Business and Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Missions. After Graduating she went on to play for SD SeaLions Semi-Pro Women’s soccer team. She currently still lives in San Diego with her husband Noel and their new baby girl Jazarra. Melissa and Noel met at SDCC through a shared passion of desiring to use soccer for internationally impact & humanitarian development. Melissa loves serving along side her husband and as Co-Founder of The Chisomo Idea, Inc. She is enjoying being home taking care of her daughter and currently fundraising to represent Chisomo Idea part-time here in the US starting 2014.

    US Representative

    Humphrey is a native of Chinsapo, Malawi, one of the areas where Chisomo Idea does its work. It is Humphrey's story that led Chisomo to engage in the community development work there. The story of how he and Noel Musicha, Chisomo Idea founder, met is documented in a film called Don't Write Me Off, Through Chisomo Idea's scholar athlete program, Humphrey had an opportunity to study at the African Bible College in Lilongwe. He recently transferred to the Master's College in Los Angeles, California on a soccer scholarship.

    John has been a part of Chisomo Idea since 2012. He is part of the creative team of individuals who generate visual content for the organization in the US. He has also designed and developed the current branding of Chisomo Idea and continues to work in creating interesting ways to communicate the message of Chisomo Idea.

    Administrative Coordinator

    A young Malawian lady, Sellah’s a diplomate paec accounting holder and further pursuing her career to become a chartered accountant. Her life took a major turn when she started working for The Chisomo Idea, it helped her discover her many talents she possessed and most importantly how to use those talents, Gifts to help/bless others. She works as an Administrative Coordinator, coordinating all the paperwork, keeping records of projects happening around our organization, and coordinating activities between US and Malawi team. She also volunteers in the mentorship program mentoring girls her age in their spiritual life and education. She is not limited to these areas of work and her idea's are welcome in any section of our organization, be it in the area of business, sports and in our street school program too, making our movement a place where many talents are being used to their best abilities to bring change in people's lives.

    My name is George Phiri. I am married to a beautiful wife Rejoice Phiri. I am firstborn in a family of eight and I am Malawian. I attended my education in Malawi and graduated with a Bachelors of Art Degree with an emphasis in Communication. Currently, I volunteer at Chisomo Idea (Malawi) as Executive Director. I also serve at Flood Church as an Administrator/Finance Officer). Naturally, I am a person who feels better when I see underprivilaged people doing better in their lives especially when I contributed to their success. Im a DEVELOPER. My passion is to help to narrow the gap that exist between the rich and poor in Malawi. Thats why I have invested my time, resources in The Chisomo Idea. You may wish to know that I play basketball, football, volleyball, and Chess. I have also worked as a Radio Presenter/Producer for over five years (I still do when I have free time).

    Leadership Development and Women's Empowerment Coordinator

    Joan Prisca Mkandawire graduated from African Bible College in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication. She loves hanging out with friends, traveling, dancing, and chocolate. She serves as the Leadership Development and Women's Empowerment Coordinator. Here favorite verses, and ones that speak greatly and truly to her life, are Deuteronomy 31: 6-8.

    Jimmy Gondwe is from Rumphi District. He grew up in a Christian family of five children, four boys and one girl, and is the last born. He attended primary and secondary schoo in the northern part of Malawi. In 2010 he enrolled in African Bible College where and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communication. While in College he was involved in different activities. He was one of the pioneering students of Chisomo Idea ministry at African Bible College. In the same year he was chosen as Student Outreach Coordinator for Chisomo Idea ministry. The leadership skills he got from this position, equipped him to rise to other higher positions on campus. In 2013, he was chosen as the leader of the class for 2014, as the captain of ABC Lions (soccer team), and as President of the student council. He feels being a leader is very challenging but it is fun and is looking forward to more leadership positions. He loves photography, video editing, chatting with friends and playing soccer. Proverbs 3:5-6, gives him hope and he believes that in whatever we do we should involve God and He will always be on our side.

    Prisca Mbewe is the first born in her family and a role model to her three siblings. In college she was an Education major and she loves teaching. She believes she was born a teacher, enjoys teaching when she does it as part of ministry and is inspired by people who live their lives for the good of other people. She wants to live her life creating change, good change, using the gifts and talents that GOD gave her and to say "NO to classisem"

    Brino is the director of our programs in the Northern Region of Malawi. He is a graduate of the African Bible College in Lilongwe. He currently works for ABC Radio in Mzuzu.

    Malawi Finances

    Clement Masangano was born in Lilongwe Malawi on October 10th, 1981. He graduated from Bunda College of Agriculture also in Lilongwe and is currently pursuing a Law degree by correspondence with the London University in the UK. In his free time Kile likes to play basketball and practice Kung-fu. Kile volunteers as Business Administration Director at The Chisomo Idea.
